This site offers access to a dataset containing a collection of bilateral international instruments signed by Argentina between 1810 and 2023.
The dataset was produced using information as published in the Digital Library of Treaties of Argentina between December 2024 and January 2025.
An older version of this dataset, that covered instruments signed up to the year 2020, served as the basis for the paper on "The distribution of treaties as a reflection of foreign policy" , originally published in Spanish in the Research Journal in Argentine Foreign Policy in December 2023, under the Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) License.
The paper explores the relation between treaties, foreign policy and geopolitics, on the basis of the study of information extracted from a collection of bilateral treaties -in this case, Argentina’s Digital Library of Treaties- using data analysis tools.
In some cases, the Digital Library of Treaties condenses different entities into a single counterpart. This effect is therefore replicated in the dataset, where the following entities are condensed into one same counterpart:

The dataset reflects a static image of information obtained at a specific moment, and could therefore contain information that has been since rendered outdated. It is therefore recommended to verify information with the source material available at the Digital Library of Treaties of Argentina to take into account any updates or corrections.
